Latest update of my painting: Friesian Horse. Working on the bone structure and details of a horse face. Using different reference photo’s. By the way: The eyes are still a quick setup, need to detail the eyes more. That’s why he looks a little goofy :)
I’m really terrible at painting straight lines. How do I do it? Watch the video below.
First: I use tape to define the line. Make sure the tape is straight and prevent paint from getting under the tape by pressing the tape well. You’ll notice this technique works better on a flat canvas than a one with a lot of structure.
Then fill in the line with the correct colour. In this case: titanium white
Remove the tape
Correct the line where necessary with a clean brush and a little liquin.
